This narrowing can be caused because of various reasons, including an allergic reaction or a genetic condition. Allergic reactions are triggered by environmental factors like pollution, harmful pollens, or some chemicals. Based on the causes, asthma is divided into three types: Seasonal asthma, Occupational asthma and Non-allergic asthma Symptoms like chest tightness, shortness of breath, coughing, and wheezing are the early signs of asthma. Asthma is diagnosed with lung tests and allergy tests. It is mainly diagnosed by Fractional exhaled nitric oxide (FeNO) tests and spirometry test.
